John Runne's acrylic canvases bring a whimsical and colorful bent to the lore and legend of the North American coyote. Over the years he has channeled his love for the West with his fascination of the ever present coyote into an expansive career. Runne has successfully completed a wide variety of original shows and has been actively, involved in national, regional and local fundraisers and special events.

Runne's first book, Coyote Christmas, has sold over 50,000 copies. Runne's images appear in collaboration with Emmy award-winning writer Tom Robertson. Coyote Christmas has been followed by a golf book entitled Par 2.
