Laine Dobson: "From childhood, I have always had a love for the arts. My passion for the outdoors, and a desire to capture the incredible beauty of the world around me, have made a huge impact on the work that I create. From the softness of quiet plains and the harshness of jutting mountains, to the interaction of wildlife and the personality in portraits, there is a beauty that intrigues me. I am fascinated by the way color and design stimulate the mind, especially in combination with the unique characteristics of watercolor. These things, together, have become my approach to art, and ultimately the part of me that is depicted in my work.

In the last couple of years, I have had the opportunity to be a guest in many shows and several galleries around Colorado and Wyoming. I have also been able to teach instructional classes in both drawing and watercolor."

Laine currently lives in Greeley, Colorado where he paints full time and travels to shows around Colorado and Wyoming.
